Ukerewe island has been emerging as a tourist place where many domestic and external tourists are flowing at Ukerewe .In this case,Ukerewe is expecting to receive 20 tourists from German having a need to see traditional music of Ukerewe islands particularly live show. We take this time to inform  that Ukerewe is having  a varieties of traditional music bands.

The most popular traditional music at Ukerewe islands are commonly known as Dogori. These bands have exclusive technological instruments made locally of which they are used to provide an automatic solos music sound! These locally made instruments are known as Olugoza or Olugoja ! At the time of marriage ceremonies people from Ukerewe islands gether at the house where the ceremony is conducted so as to celebrate and the most popular traditional band used to entertain them are Dogori bands. People from Ukerewe are attracted much by Dogori and when the beat starts all crowds will dance as if the dance is in the blood! They normally dance while saying a proverb to each other Engoma or Ingoma yalilaaa! Actually, it is a joy within a joy!

A disabled man is attacking environment at Ukerewe!

This is a disabled man from Bugula village.His name is Murabhi Misango but he is very famous by ''Matimbozi'' as his nickname at the village.At moment Matimbozi is a traditonal dogori music dancer at Jobbiso Band Internationaly found at Bugula village. He has different and suitable dancing styles such that once he mediately dance, he conquers the crowds!
On the picture Murabhi is seen attacking an environment by digging out the soil in order to compose bricks which later will be sold to village house builders. In general ,Ukerewe islands are facing much environmental degradations.
